Zack & Caeli: A PTSD love story

I received this book as a bonus off another book. At first I thought it was just going to be another one of those insta-lust romances...which it was. The attraction was off the charts for Caeli & Zack when they first met at the burger joint that Caeli works in. She thought he was just the typical jock at first but there was an attraction brewing between them. Caeli is working for her uncle along with her 3 evil cousins to pay off a debt incurred by her parents. Of course they all treat her like dirt and a slave. Zack comes to her defense in the parking lot after her evil cousins verbally abuse her and Zack single-handedly takes care of her troll cousins. He ends up meeting her back at her apartment and the sparks begin even after much protest from Caeli. They embark in a torrid night together. At first Zack just thinks of her as a one night of release from his demons and he has major demons. But the thing about Caeli is that her pureness and goodness seems to penetrate Zack's darkness. To Zack, Caeli represents an angel of light to his dark life. Zack is a former soldier who fought in Afghanistan and apparently is suffering from PTSD. He gets through his darkness through fighting and sex to forget his pain. Even though this was a very hot erotic romance, I liked the fact that there was a story to go with it...in fact a very deep story about a damaged person's coping mechanism. I enjoyed reading this surprise bonus story very much. It had the best of both: hotness and a storyline. You end up rooting for Zack and wondering when he will let someone into his damaged world. You root for Caeli to stand up for herself against her family. You see how the hero steps up to protect the heroine; how he ends up hurting her because he is reluctant to let her know about his story; you see the military camaraderie rallying around each other; you see how insta-lust turns into deeper love; you see how Zack deals with his PTSD and make it work for him; and you get an wonderful HEA at the end. What more can you want from a romance story? Maybe wishing the book was a tad bit longer? All in all, a lovely romance with Hot sex! :)

Bad Boy!

I received this book as a bonus from another author for an honest review.
This was a great storyline, and I loved how the bad boy was conceptualized! Not only does this story involve romance, humor, violence, but it was full of sex, sarcasm, and shenanigans. This is not the first book I read by this author, Kelly Favor, but I must say, this was awesome. I loved the characters of Zack Wild and Caeli Powers. Zack has been back from Afghanistan for two years trying to forget his buddies from the war, and all he does is drink, fight, and f** women—never getting close to anyone until he meets Caeli. Caeli works at a burger restaurant, which her uncle owns, to try to pay off her parent’s debt. She waits on Zack and friends, but Caeli finds herself quite attracted to Zack and the feeling is mutual with some sizzling chemistry. Her uncle and his three sons always treat Caeli dreadful. Zack intervenes and threatens her cousins when he sees how abusive they are treating her. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. You will revel with delight in this raucous story with an erotic flare for the sensuous adult in you! This book was well written by Kelly Favor with a blistering hot look into Zack Wild—the name says it all! The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.

Caeli and Zack's stormy beginning

I was given this book as a bonus at the end of an ARC by another Arthur and it was so good I had to post a review.
I am a big fan of Kelly Favor but I have to say she knocked this one out of the park. I think it's by far the best of her books and I think I've read them all.
I was already in lust with Zack Wild because he was so protective of Caeli Powers but when I discovered he had a military background I was also in love with him.
The attraction was there between Zack and Caeli right from the beginning but both were determined that it should not be love. (they both lost)
After rescuing Caeli from her family's abusive treatment of her Zack set out to show her how she should be treated by people that really cared about her.
After a few back and forth, she/he is just a girl/guy no different than any others they eventually realize the attraction is not something they either can fight anymore so decide to see where it goes.
This book is filled with violence, adventure, lust and romance. If you like any of these things in a book you will not be disappointed.
If you like romance between the girl and the guy you will not be disappointed.
