The most important thing you need to pass the Practitioner Exam, at an ok price.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Since this is the definitive(and currently only) book for the newly created ITIL Practitioner certification, this book is essential for passing the exam. All the material you need to know for the exam is covered in this book. So this book gets points for being complete. There are occasional illustrations and charts included to help understand the concepts, including a helpful appendix with related topics. It can be a bit wordy at times, but I prefer too much information rather than too little.

I bought it on Kindle for $54. It's not a great deal considering the size of the book, but I guess considering that it is the ONLY one on the market they could have taken me for more. So Ill say the price is "OK".

ABOUT THE EXAM THE BOOK PREPARES YOU FOR:

I passed the exam with 80%. To prepare I read this book and took the two sample exams(which are free downloadable PDFs). I also have almost a decade of working in an organization that implements ITIL framework. Axelos currently only hosts "Sample Paper 2" on its website. I did a search for "Sample Paper 1" and found it on some other site. These sample exams are pretty terrible as far as providing clearly worded questions. That may be why they don't include SE1 anymore on their site, it was the worse of the two. I found many of the questions on the sample papers to be ambiguous as far as how to interpret the correct answer. In other words you can understand the content but still answer it wrong due to being unclear about what they are actually asking. So what Im trying to say is that in addition to this book take both of the sample exams(to be prepared for the ambiguity) and read the explanations to the answers so that you will more easily(although not completely) be able to decipher meanings to similar questions on the exam.

Little bit pricey for the size of the book, but it has good material. One note though, if you're going to take the test. It is an open book test. However, you can only bring an UNMARKED book. So if you like to highlight and write in the margins, you either don't get to use your book or you'll have to buy/borrow another one.

This is essential to anyone that is either heavily involved in IT Service Management or has a passing interest in it. It brings many needed and refreshing views to ITIL as a whole and it does change your perspective about it to a degree. I do not lie when I say that some of the guidance here was sorely needed 8 or 10 years ago.

It is a bit pricey, even the Kindle edition, but it is worth every penny. And it is, of course, indispensable when going through the test.

Awesome books for differential diagnosis

Awesome books for differential diagnosis. A lot of case studies here and it will make you think, is this heat? damp heat? A must for acupuncture students in my opinion because so many cases are similar but have different diagnosis. This book helps you through real life case studies and how to differentiate them.

An amazing learning tool & resource

This book, as well as Patterns & Practice in Acupuncture, has been invaluable, both as a student and a practitioner. Each case is well-documented, and the principles of diagnosis and treatment are clearly explained. It's very beneficial to see cases beginning to end. I can't recommend these books enough.

About the Author
Frederick Bettelheim was a distinguished university research professor at Adelphi University and a visiting scientist at the National Eye Institute. He co-authored seven editions of INTRODUCTION TO GENERAL, ORGANIC, AND BIOCHEMISTRY, ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, and several Laboratory Manuals. He is also the author of EXPERIMENTAL PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY and co-author of numerous monographs and research articles. Professor Bettelheim received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis.

Joseph M. Landesberg is a professor in the Department of Chemistry at Adelphi University. He came to Adelphi University in the fall of 1966. Prior to that, he was at Columbia University where he took a postdoctoral position with Professor Gilbert Stork. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University, where he wrote his thesis under the guidance of Professor Roy A. Olofson. Dr. Landesberg did his undergraduate work at Rutgers University.

JIMI STARR BREAKS THIS GAME DOWN HE EXPLAINS IN THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK HOW MEN ARE TAUGHT BY THIER MOTHERS AND SOCIETY TO BE TRICKS AND HOW WOMEN ARE TAUGHT TO BE HOES BY SOCIETY AND THIER MOTHERS. HE SHOWS YOU HOW EVEN IN SOME MARRIAGES HOW ITS JUST AN EXTENDED FORM OF TRICKING AND HOEING. PEOPLE MISUNDERSTAND PIMPING HOEING AND TRICKING BUT IN A SOCIETY WHERE WOMEN TAKE HALF YOUR MONEY AND MEN PUT WOMEN ON A PEDESTAL BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN ORIFICE THAT URINE PUS AND BLOOD PASSES THROUGH,THAT THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN ALL YOUR MONEY AND YOU SHOULD NEVER DARE TO RAISE YOUR VOICE OR GO AGAINST THIER WISHES. HE SHOWS US A POINT THATS TRUE IN THE WORLD WE LIVE IN THAT A REAL WOMEN WILL NEVER RESPECT A SUCKER TRICK...MONEY BLOWING FOOL. TRICKS ARE ALWAYS POLITICALLY CORRECT OPENING DOORS FOR WOMEN AND LAYING THIER COATS DOWN FOR THEM...THEY WISH THEY COULD BE MACKS BUT THEY ARE TOO SCARED OF THAT VAGINA WALKING AWAY...THE GAME IS COP AND BLOW AND THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT WILL TEACH BROTHERS ON HOW NOT TO BE TRICKS, I RECCOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR BROTHERS WHO KNOW HOW TO LEARN THIS GAME AND APPLY IT IN THE PROPER DOSES FOR EACH SITUATION PEACE

An Epic and Senses Shattering Look at the world thru the eye of a Master Pimp!

This book should be made in to a movie. This is most likely the 2nd most cinematic look at the world of Pimping to date. It's only out done by the progenitor of the genre, Robert "Iceberg Slim" Beck's uber classic memoir "PIMP" in it's level of vividity. The Book starts out with a brief and well thought out synopsis on Pimp philosophy. Jimi Starr gives you a matrix red pill tour Morpheus style, and makes a clear case for the Pimp in a world where misandry seems to go totally unnoticed by the masses of men. You can take or leave it, but it would appear that Pimps have had the solution to "Manipulated Man" long before Ester Vilar even thought about putting the pen to paper.

Then Jimi takes you 3000 miles for his home in San Francisco, California to late 70's/early 80's NYC, where he encounters things most people could never even dream of seeing. Things such as child raping corrupt cops (New York in the early 80's? Yes, they existed), homicidal Puerto Rican stick up boys and whores that practice bestiality ( Yes, I said it BESTIALITY). It doesn't stop there, Jimi takes his pimpin' all over the country and even into Canada with wild tales at every stop. You also get to enjoy the side stories, subplots and twist with the familiar characters like "Insane Wayne" ,"Rosebudd" and the legendary "Filmore Slim". There is no reason why this book shouldn't be made into a movie. I can see Anthony Mackie ("Hurt Locker" The Adjustment Bureau" and "She Hate Me") playing Jimi Starr. This definitely a cinematic page turner and one of the best books in the genre.

Real talk this is hands down a good book with real game. I have a highlighter pen I use for the book Dam near every page is highlighted trust me I'm ready for book 2 .
